Lennard Behnke is a composer and pianist who writes and performs electronic and acoustic music for various ensembles. His music explores the tension between improvisation and composition and the question of what a composition can be. As a jazz pianist, his music is often rhythmically complex and harmonically rich, yet reduction and the development of material remain important guiding principles. Since 2022, he has been studying jazz piano at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar.
